L’Academie for Wine Professionals
Over the course of three days, you will meet with leading producers in the Jura selected for their skills as vignerons and their adherence to the grand traditions of this esteemed and unique wine-growing region.
Visit, talk and taste with seven different producers including Jacques Puffeney, Michel Gahier and Domaine de Montbourgeau, whose wines are loyal to the methods of their ancestors and do not make concessions to the demands of the modern market. These classic wines honor the past while setting standards for the future.
Each day begins with hearty breakfast before morning visits to the producers.
Lunch will be a robust gathering around a local table with a series of wines from the region’s growers. In the afternoon, the winery and vineyard visits resume until our return to La Closerie les Capucines late in the day for a brief rest, sauna or massage.
Dinner each evening will be in Arbois, prepared by the area’s Michelin-starred chefs and fine local masters. Of course, each meal will be accompanied by a robust selection of wines from the area – and perhaps a few from Burgundy and elsewhere, drawn from La Closerie’s bountiful cellar
